Derek Bixler

Derek Bixler serves as a Graduate Coordinator for the School of Public Affairs and Administration, which includes the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, the Master of Urban Planning (MUP) program, and the Ph.D. in Public Administration program. He provides support to students and faculty regarding admissions, enrollment, petitions, degree progression, graduation, and university policies. This includes connecting students to resources, maintaining records, and helping manage the GTA/GRA/GA hiring process. Bixler attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate degree, receiving a BA in Letters. He then attended graduate school at the University of Arkansas - Clinton School, receiving a Master of Public Service degree. Previously, he worked for a housing nonprofit that assists low-income tenants in Oklahoma.
