Electronic Reserves

To place items on electronic reserve…
When an instructor requests it, the Regents Center Library will place items on reserve to insure they are more accessible to students who need to use them for a class. Following Fair Use Guidelines, the libraries will be making most items available digitally instead of in print format. Electronic Reserves or E-reserves will allow your students to access course reserve material at any time from locations on or off campus. For items that do not convert well into digital format (entire books, media or physical objects), the library will store them behind the circulation desk and check them out for a period of time chosen by the instructor.

To submit readings for reserve, complete a Reserve Request Form located onlineexternal link or at the Regents Center Library. In order to have the readings available to your students on the first day of class, please provide the Reserve Request Form and the readings by November 1, 2007. Materials submitted after November 1 will be processed in the order received.

Because of the unique nature of electronic reserves:

  • You must submit a syllabus or reading list containing full bibliographic information for all reserve items.
  • Photocopies should be clean, legible, and one-sided.
